Cystitis

Cystitis is inflammation of the urinary bladder and may be caused by infectious or non‐infectious causes. The bladder is a hollow organ that stores urine from the kidneys until you go to the bathroom. Urine passes outside the body through a tube called the urethra.

Cystitis is more common in women than men: During their lifetime, 1/3rd of women and 10% of men will suffer a bladder infection.1 It tends to occur more often in diabetics, men with enlarged prostates, the elderly and during pregnancy.
