Headaches & Migraines

Headaches can be divided into primary and secondary categories. Primary headaches include migraines, tension and cluster headaches. Secondary headaches are caused from a structural problem such as a misalignment of the neck. It is recommended to have your headaches diagnosed by your healthcare profession to ensure you have the best treatment options.

Sinus headaches occur during an infection or when suffering from allergies. Pressure within the sinus cavities of the head causes tenderness, inflammation and swelling. Vascular are caused from abnormal sensitivity of the blood vessels within the brain. Migraine headaches are the most common form of vascular headache, resulting from a constriction of blood flow to the brain, often from a spasm within the artery. Cluster headaches are less common and caused from neuralgia, a shooting, throbbing pain from a nerve.
